Thoughts: Redeemed

27 Mar

All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, “Child lift up your head”
I remember, oh God, You’re not done with me yet

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I’m not who I used to be

Because I don’t have to be the old man inside of me
‘Cause his day is long dead and gone
Because I’ve got a new name, a new life, I’m not the same
And a hope that will carry me home

Mark 10:27 “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”

Higher than the mountains that i face
Stronger than the power of the grave
constant in the trial and the change

One thing remains

Your love never fails
It never gives up
It never runs out on me

One Things Remains by  Jesus Culture

You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night
But joy comes in the moring

And when the oceans rage
I don’t have to be afraid
Cuz I know that You love me
Your love never changes

Your Love Never Fails by Chris Quilala

Our circumstances change and our situations flux but You, Lord, You are constant and steadfast. You never change, You never waiver. You are always the same. We so often flip-flip. We go from loving You when it’s easy to wondering where You are when the storms come. But Lord, You are always the same. How can we say that it’s You who have abandoned us or not lived up to our expectations when You, Lord, are the thing that stays the same in our ever changing world?

Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever.   – Hebrews 13:8
